Anthony Gioffre began
his career in New York City in Off-Broadway shows. He
then went to work for Elite Model Management Inc. all
over the United States, managing satellite offices in
Philadelphia, Washington, DC, and South Florida before
opening his own commercial agency, Gioffre Model and Talent
Agency, Inc. in Upstate New York in 1988. He became the
Marketing Director of MetroCenter Mall where his agency
was located in 1989. After 4 years, he then sold his business
and moved to San Francisco in 1993. He was involved with
numerous service agencies there in a volunteer capacity.
He then took a position in the Client Services Dept. of
Project Open Hand. He also had a photo testing service
photographing new, prospective talent for agencies in
the area, concurrently. He sang in local coffee shops
and performed in theatre productions before moving to
San Diego in 1999. He has been seen in San Diego in live
theatre over the last 5 years from the Diversionary Theatre
to 6th@ Penn and others. He taught at The Actors Center
in San Diego for 5 years. He now produces, directs and
handles the advertising department at GoldenLodestar Productions.
